  Platform and infrastructure engineering for one of the largest peer-to-peer lending platforms.

  • Led migration of production workloads from Chef-provisioned AWS instances to Docker containers on AWS running under Mesos, Marathon, and Chronos.
  • Built an event-driven Clojure and Kafka Streams application for investor loan-part ownership, borrower repayment distribution, and the public Investor API; reduced API response times by two orders of magnitude and repayment distribution from hours to seconds.
  • Built a CLI tool to automatically detect and deploy application dependencies, enabling fully automated startup and teardown of production-like AWS environments for large integration tests across dozens of services.
  • Led a security initiative replacing long-lived static secrets with short-lived per-container dynamic secrets using Vault and envconsul, plus a PR-based permissions workflow reviewed by Security.
  • Deployed and operated Mesos, ZooKeeper, Kafka, and Consul clusters on AWS using immutable infrastructure patterns in Terraform, supporting more than 200 microservices across 3 regions.
  • Built platform observability and traffic tooling, including Jenkins Pipelines standardization, a HAProxy/Consul internal service mesh, and logging/monitoring pipelines processing approximately 500 million logs per day.
